The Hapi Daze Sportfishing team is sponsored by Fountain powerboats, Mercury Marine, Simrad Electronics, Myco trailers, Winslow Life Rafts and Olde Salte Tackle. Team Hapi Daze primarily fishes the American Striper Association tournament trail. (www.fishasa.com) We are a relatively new team on the ASA trail of just two years. We have already won two major tournaments, placed second three times and have placed in the top five numerous times. In 2006 our team not only won angler of the year we did it in record fashion with a total of 538 pounds. We also achieved first place over all for the Fountain Power Boat fish team.
We also participate in the spring and fall at well know tournaments such as the Hi-mar, The Manhattan Cup, Michaels Bait and Tackle, Virginia’s CCA tournaments, and the Rockfish World Championship. It’s our passion for fishing for Striped Bass that came to fruition through our junior angler Greg Nunn. His dedication and love for the outdoors has earned him seven junior angler awards and he was profiled by Grady White Angler Magazine as a junior to watch in 2004. He also earned the Fountain Power Boats Junior angler of the year award for 2005 and 2006. |
